To protect yourself against evil eyes on social media platforms in Islam, there are several steps you can take.

1. Limit Social Media Sharing

Limiting your online sharing is one of the most important steps towards safeguarding yourself from the potential negativity of excessive boasting. Exercise caution in your social media sharing to protect your well-being from the evil eye in Islam.

Islam teaches us to be humble and avoid unnecessary displays of our achievements and happiness. Refraining from constantly showcasing our successes and moments of joy reduces the chances of unintentionally arousing envy and inviting the evil eye.

2. Recite Quranic Surah & Verses for Protection

By incorporating the recitation of Quranic Surahs and verses into your daily routine, you can actively protect yourself from the evil eye on social media in Islam. The Quran provides powerful tools for spiritual protection.

Surah Al-Falaq (Quran: 113) and Surah An-Naas (Quran: 114) are particularly effective in guarding against the negative eye. Make it a habit to recite these Surahs at daybreak and night.

Furthermore, recite Ayatul Kursi for comprehensive protection and to strengthen your spiritual connection. This verse is one of the most powerful verses for seeking protection from evil.

Ayatul Kursi:

“Allah! There is no god ˹worthy of worship˺ except Him, the Ever-Living, All-Sustaining. Neither drowsiness nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who could possibly intercede with Him without His permission? He ˹fully˺ knows what is ahead of them and what is behind them, but no one can grasp any of His knowledge, except what He wills ˹to reveal˺. His Seat encompasses the heavens and the earth, and the preservation of both does not tire Him. For He is the Most High, the Greatest.” [Surah: Al-Baqarah 2, Ayat: 255]

Seek refuge in Allah by reciting this verse, recognizing He’s the ultimate source of protection against negative influences.

3. Avoid Amulets

Avoid Amulets

Protect yourself from bad vibes on social media in Islam by refraining from using Amulets. According to Islamic Shariah, these objects are discouraged as they contain magical inscriptions, which can lead to placing more trust in them than in Allah.

It was narrated from Shutair bin Shakal bin Humaid that his father said:

“I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, teach me a supplication from which I may benefit.’ He said: ‘Say: Allahumma ‘afini min sharri sam’i, wa basari, wa lisani, wa qalbi, wa sharri mani (Mean: O Allah, protect me from the evil of my hearing, my seeing, my tongue and my heart, and the evil of my sperm.)” [Sunan an-Nasa’i 5484]

Relying on external objects for protection also compromises your faith and goes against the emphasis on complete reliance on Allah. Instead, focus on strengthening your connection with Allah through sincere supplications, recitations, and acts of worship.

4. Protect Yourself from Jealousy

Overcome jealousy and safeguard yourself from the evil eye online by cultivating genuine happiness for others. Jealousy can be a destructive emotion that harms our well-being and puts us at risk of attracting the evil eye.

Islam teaches us to combat jealousy by making sincere dua for the success and well-being of others, even if we may feel envious of their achievements. By genuinely celebrating the accomplishments of others, we protect ourselves from jealousy and foster goodwill and relationships.

5. Charitable Acts as a Shield

Charitable Acts as a Shield

Sadaqah, or giving for the sake of Allah, is only a means of protection and a way to excel on the Day of Judgment. Incorporating regular acts of charity into your routine can create a shield against negative energies.

When you give selflessly, you redirect your focus from the materialistic world of social media to the spiritual realm. This shift in perspective helps protect you from the jealousy and envy that may arise from others observing your success or blessings.

Protect Your Spiritual Well-Being: Guard Against Social Media’s Evil Eye

Protecting yourself from social media’s evil eyes is crucial to maintaining spiritual well-being. Remember that the evil eye can manifest through envy and negativity, leading to harm.

By exercising restraint in sharing personal information and utilizing Quranic verses for spiritual protection, we can fortify ourselves against the potential harm of the evil eye. Let us strive to follow these guidelines to protect ourselves from the devil’s eye and preserve our spiritual well-being online.
