Can I Touch My Wife Breast During Fasting?

The Sunnah and practices of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) guide Muslims in various aspects of life, including intimate relations between husband and wife. It is mentioned in Sahih al-Bukhari 1927, narrated by Aisha (RAA),

“The Prophet used to kiss and embrace (his wives) while he was fasting, and he had more power to control his desires than any of you. Said Jabir, “The person who gets discharged after casting a look (on his wife) should complete his fast.””

Also, Aisha (RAA) said,

“Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) used to kiss some of his wives while he was fasting,” and then she smiled.” [Narrated Hisham’s father in Sahih al-Bukhari 1928]

A man came to Ibn ‘Abbās (radiyallāhu ‘anhumā) and said:

“I married a pretty daughter of an uncle of mine, and this took place in Ramadān. Am I allowed to kiss her?”

Ibn ‘Abbās asked: “Are you able to control yourself?”

He replied: “Yes.”

So, Ibn ‘Abbās said: “Kiss her.”

The man asked: “Am I allowed to caress her?”

Ibn ‘Abbās said: “Are you able to control yourself?”

So, Ibn ‘Abbās said: “Caress her.”

The man asked: “Am I allowed to touch her private part with my hand?”

Ibn ‘Abbās said: “Are you able to control yourself?”

The man said: “Yes.”

So, Ibn ‘’Abbās said: “Touch her.”
